«It’s a fun and challenging course, it presents panoramic ascents and technical descents. The courses are designed to be accessible to everyone, from those more competitive to those who want to have fun and enjoy the magnificent territory» explains Lagutin, for ten years in the highest category, Under 23 World Champion in 2003.
«I did not know the climb of San Michele although I raced as an amateur in the area, it is stunning. It offers unique Lake Garda views every meter. The towns surrounding the Lake offer lovely places for cycling and very different roads. I like being here with the team for training camp, we can ride on 5-6 hours trails without getting bored».
And thinking back to Saturday test with the fans who have responded to Cavalier Ernesto Colnago, Desenzano del Garda Mayor Rosa Leso and Economic Development Councillor Valentino Righetti call, Lagutin adds with a smile: «I was expecting a easy workout while the amateurs was so strong and motivated, they made me sweat like in a real race. I’ll try to be in Desenzano on 17th May to enjoy Colnago Cycling Festival atmosphere».
