VINI ZABÙ – KTM: OPERAZIONE RIUSCITA PER EDOARDO ZARDINI

Tornerà in sella in tempi record. Dalla disperazione per l’ennesimo infortunio al sollievo per essere stato curato da una struttura d’eccellenza: Edoardo Zardini è stato operato alla clavicola dal chirurgo ortopedico Piergiuseppe Perazzini, responsabile dell’unità funzionale di ortopedia e traumatologia della Clinica San Francesco di Verona.

Lo scorso 11 luglio si era rotto per la terza volta la clavicola dopo una brutta caduta in allenamento e ora già rivede la sella in quanto potrà tornare a pedalare tra quindici giorni, dopo una massiva riabilitazione.

La clavicola sulla quale si è intervenuto era la stessa del 2018 quando Zardini cadde durante la tappa dell’Etna al Giro d’Italia mentre stavolta il corridore veronese si stava allenando in solitario sulla Statale 12 verso Domegliara quando all’improvviso si è trovato davanti un cane e l’impatto è stato inevitabile.

 “Si è trattato di intervenire chirurgicamente su una frattura pluriframmentata di una clavicola che si era già rotta due volte. – spiega il dottor Perazzini – Infatti abbiamo trovato diverse aderenze dei tessuti, e tessuti cicatriziali frutto dei precedenti interventi. Ci siamo mossi lungo i tessuti cicatrizzati e le superfici ossee fratturate in precedenza, cercando di devascolarizzare il meno possibile i frammenti riducendo la frattura e stabilizzandola con una placca e delle viti. Adesso Edoardo dovrà per qualche giorno tenere la spalla immobilizzata e dovrà quindi sottoporsi ad una riabilitazione passiva. Successivamente, per le prossime tre settimane svolgerà una riabilitazione attiva e potrà così tornare ad allenarsi”.

“Adesso sto bene. – afferma Edoardo – Volevo ringraziare il dottor Perazzini e tutto il suo staff per l’ottimo lavoro e perché mi hanno fatto sentire a come a casa. Mi sento già bene e sono pronto a ricominciare”.

EDOARDO ZARDINI: SUCCESFUL OPERATION AT THE CLINICA SAN FRANCESCO IN VERONA

Zardini was operated at his broken collarbone by the doctor Piergiuseppe Perazzini, specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Clinica San Francesco in Verona, after the crash occurred the 11th of July while he was training and he has already started the rehabilitation planning to be back on the road in 15 days.

Doctor Perazzini had to operate the same collarbone that Zardini broke in 2018 when he crashed at the Giro d’Italia in the Etna stage while this time he was training solo near Domegliara when he couldn’t avoid the impact with a dog who was crossing the road in that moment.

“We had to go into surgery on a fracture of a clavicle that was broken already twice – says Doctor Perazzini – and in fact we have found scar tissues from the previous operations. We moved on the scar tissues and the bone surfaces trying to devascularize the least possible the fragments, reducing the fracture and stabilising it with a plate and some screws. Now Edoardo will have to keep the shoulder restrained for few days and then he will have to start a passive rehabilitation. Then, for the next three weeks, he will follow an active rehabilitation before going back to normal training”.
