DOPPIO INNESTO PER LA STAGIONE 2021 DELLA BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ, INGAGGIATI UMBERTO MARENGO E ANDREA GAROSIO

Doppio innesto per la stagione 2021. Umberto Marengo e Andrea Garosio, entrambi al loro terzo anno nel professionismo, andranno a rafforzare le fila del team della famiglia Reverberi. Diventano così ben 8 i volti nuovi del team.

UMBERTO MARENGO

Il piemontese Umberto Marengo è un corridore completo, capace di tenere un buon passo in salita e dotato di spunto veloce. Passa professionista nel 2019 nell’attuale Vini Zabù – Brado – Ktm, con cui coglie il suo primo successo al Tour of Utah battendo in una volata ristretta corridori del calibro di Edwin Avila e un giovanissimo Joao Almeida.

“Sono davvero felice del passaggio in un team come la Bardiani CSF Faizanè devo ringraziare  Bruno e Roberto Reverberi perché in un anno difficile come questo non era facile avere un’opportunità. Han saputo guardare oltre quest’annata particolare. I miei obiettivi nel 2021 a livello personale sono di migliorarmi in salita in modo da poter sfruttare il mio spunto veloce in volate e arrivi in gruppi più ristretti e di meritarmi la convocazione per il mio primo Giro d’Italia perché tra tutte le corse che sognavo da bambino è l’unica che non ho ancora mai corso. Sono pronto a mettere le mie caratteristiche anche a disposizione dei miei nuovi compagni se ci sarà da tirare e fare ritmo in salita così come per aiutare i compagni negli sprint.”

ANDREA GAROSIO

L’atleta bresciano classe 1993, è corridore abile in salita che ha ottenuto buoni piazzamenti in storiche gare italiane come la Coppa Agostoni e il Giro dell’Emilia. Passato professionista nelle fila del team World Tour Bahrain-Merida, ha corso nelle fila del team Vini Zabù nel 2020. Il 2021 sarà la sua terza stagione da professionista, nella quale dimostrare il definitivo salto di qualità.

Queste le parole al momento della firma con il team:

“Vorrei esprimere quello che non ho potuto esprimere in questo 2020 a causa prima del Coronavirus e poi della caduta alla Coppi e Bartali, poter finalmente dimostrare appieno che sono un buono scalatore e provare a raggiungere vittorie e successi in una corsa a tappe o in una corsa di un giorno impegnativa. Per me è fondamentale sentire fiducia intorno a me e nel team di Reverberi l’ho percepita sin da subito e non vedo l’ora di ripagarla con i risultati.”

BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: ANDREA GAROSIO AND UMBERTO MARENGO SIGNS WITH THE TEAM FOR 2021 SEASON.

Two new arrivals in the team looking forward to the 2021 season. They are Umberto Marengo, winner of one stage in the Tour of Utah, and Andrea Garosio with already one year of experience in a World Tour team. 

UMBERTO MARENGO.

The rider from Piedmont, Umberto Marengo is a complete rider, able of keeping a good rhythm uphill but able to win restricted sprint. He became pro in 2019 in the current Vini Zabù – Brado – Ktm, with which he reached his first success at the Tour of Utah by beating in a short sprint runners of the caliber of Edwin Avila and a very young Joao Almeida.

“I am really happy to be a new riders of Bardiani CSF Faizanè. I have to thank Bruno and Roberto Reverberi because in a difficult year like this it was not easy to have an opportunity. They have been able to look beyond this particular year. My goals in 2021 on a personal level are to improve myself uphill so that I can take advantage of my fast cue in sprints and finishes in smaller groups and to deserve the call for my first Giro d’Italia because of all the races I dreamed as a child she is the only one I have never run yet. I am ready to put my skills at the disposal of my new teammates too if there is a need to pull and pace uphill as well as to help my teammates in the sprints. “

ANDREA GAROSIO

The rider from Brescia, born in 1993, is a skilled uphill rider who has achieved good placements in historic Italian races such as the Coppa Agostoni and the Giro dell’Emilia. He became Pro rider with the World Tour team Bahrain-Merida, he raced in the ranks of the Vini Zabù team in 2020. 2021 will be his third season as a professional, in which to demonstrate the definitive grow in quality.
