EROICA AL TEMPO DEL COVID-19

C’è un tempo per ogni aspetto di questi mesi; il tempo della paura, dell’ansia, della preghiera, dell’attesa e della speranza.

Ma c’è anche il tempo della ripartenza e della ripresa, del ritorno alle forti emozioni, ai pedali e al vento in faccia. Alla polvere delle strade bianche, al buon cibo, ai panorami mozzafiato. Dunque Eroica guarda oltre la collina dell’inferno e del contagio per disegnare le date di una possibile, nuova stagione in bicicletta. Tra una decina di giorni gli eroici si sarebbero dovuti incontrare a Buonconvento per Nova Eroica e tra poco più di un mese a Montalcino per l’Eroica classica di primavera.

Invece l’emergenza ci obbliga a riprogrammare i due appuntamenti a sud della provincia di Siena. Indicativamente Nova Eroica si svolgerà a Buonconvento (SI) domenica 25 ottobre mentre Eroica Montalcino avrà luogo dal 28 al 30 agosto. La pandemia ha causato anche il posticipo di Eroica California, ora in programma dal 25 al 27 settembre mentre Eroica Hispania avrà luogo domenica 18 ottobre.

Rinviata al 2021 l’ottava edizione di Eroica Japan mentre al momento rimangono confermate nelle date iniziali Eroica Limburg (27 giugno), Eroica Germania (22 agosto), Eroica Dolomiti (5 settembre) e L’Eroica, domenica 4 ottobre

The Eroica 2020 calendar at the time of Covid-19

During these months, there is a time for everything; a time for fear, a time for anxiety, time to pray, time to wait and time for hope. But there is also a time to start over, get back to normal, to real experiences, on the pedals of your bicycle, with the wind in your face. The dust on the white roads, good food, breathtaking views. So Eroica looks to the horizon, beyond hell and contagion, to draw up the dates of a possible, new cycling season. Heroes from all over were supposed to meet in Buonconvento in ten days’ time for Nova Eroica and in just over a month in Montalcino for the classic springtime Eroica. However, the emergency has obliged us to reschedule the two events that take place in the southern part of the province of Siena.

Nova Eroica will indicatively take place in Buonconvento (Siena) on Sunday 25 October, while Eroica Montalcino will be held from 28 to 30 August. The pandemic has also caused the postponement of Eroica California, which is now scheduled for 25-27 September, while Eroica Hispania will take place on Sunday 18 October.

The eighth edition of Eroica Japan has been moved to 2021, while, for the moment, the initial dates for Eroica Limburg (27 June), Eroica Germania (22 August), Eroica Dolomiti (5 September) and L’Eroica, Sunday 4 October, remain confirmed.
